Two symmetric abbreviations are joined in this event: IS4SI and SIS. The International Society for the Interdisciplinary Study of Symmetry (SIS) organized the conference “Symmetry, Structure and Information” as a contribution to the 2021 Summit of the International Society for the Study of Information (IS4SI). In the 1994 Symposium Katachi U Symmetry held in Tsukuba Science City, we saw the advantages of “symmetry” and “katachi” (i.e., form in Japanese) and how they are shaking hands. Now we try the same between “symmetry” and “information”, two concepts with broad interdisciplinary understanding.
