"Writing of Light" Paintings, 2

In this painting, called DayBlaze, the viewer can start to see the concern with the canvas plane. The canvas is given a highly compacted tension - which became my main goal in these years. The "writing" sits on top of the compacted plane without disturbing it. The same is true of the extra layers of lighter paint smeared in the top layer. All serve to reinforce the dense impentrable plane below.
