For example, there should not be a set of a rulers and a writing equipment to draw a straight line. As with carpenters, a line can be drawn by flipping a tensed string with chalk or oil colors. By not conforming to set ideas, everything can be useful as materials or tools for structures in two-dimensional space. Then unique forms emerge. In short, if the idea about tools and technical methods becomes new, we can expect new forms to come out.

Because of this, the list above is incomplete, but it is not meaningless to make a list if it is asked. When we see the list (A, B) on pages 40 and 41 as the point, line and face, we take it for granted that there are many sections about "faces" since the title is "the structure in two-dimensional space", and although in the material division list there are some, it is rather unexpected that there are overwhelmingly more about "lines" in the division list of tools. This gives an important suggestion to the process of manufacturing and ideas. To be aware of these important things, it is meaningful to make and arrange the list.

Before actions or expressions, we should have knowledge about the formative quality of materials and various ways how to use tools. About these things, it is necessary to dash against the materials in the first place, not simply for the knowledge but to understand these formative possibilities. We usually choose materials and tools after being given a theme, but to make this relationship more active and flexible, we challenge the formative materials and tools first without any purpose or theme. Experience which has been gained must be considered precious in one's whole life.
