(2) Texture of the sight predominance

We watch television every day. The cathode-ray tube of the television receiver is made of glass, and is plane and smooth. However, we can feel various textures in the images projected there. This is because the sense of touch is awakened through sight.

Paper is a plane material. However, since printing characteristics are extremely superior, many textures of the sight predominant types which give us feelings of skins by patterns are widely produced. Of course, people continue to prefer the feelings of the surfaces of Japanese paper, Kent paper, art paper, and others, and a lot of paper which has unevenness intentionally is extensively sold as shown in Figure 647.

In the current generation, textures are well respected with an increasing number of these kinds in every field of modeling such as clothes, food, and housing.
