This is another painting I created in this state of compactification. I was reading at the time the medieval grail legend La Queste del Saint Graal which said that each knight "went the way upon which he had decided, and they set out into the forest at one point and another, where they saw it to be the thickest." I knew well that this medieval writer had experienced the true religious experience - in contrast to the false mystics such as Krishnamurti who are publicly celebrated because they encourage the public to think less than they do already. The true mystic is one for whom, thought becomes so dense, so totalized, that it becomes the physical world.
