(ii) Expressions of lines using points of light

Let's try to draw a line of light using points of light. If an illuminating point of moving light is found, and a long time exposure is made with the shutter on a camera set for bulb, a photograph of optical traces can be created. Figure 70 is a photograph of headlights and tail lights.

In this case, the camera position was fixed. However, since motion is relative, a photograph of light traces of a fixed light source can be take by moving the camera itself. Figures 71-73 are photographs of point light sources outdoors which were taken using such a method.
