The Elements of Formative Arts
For a structure in two-dimensional space, what is necessary, first of all, are two divisions: mental
elements such as a desire or a purpose and concrete "things" such as materials or tools to express
them practically. The former has been mentioned in the last chapter, so the latter will be discussed in
this chapter.
