Introduction of the author
ASAKURA, Naomi was born in 1929, and graduated from the Department of Arts of the Tokyo University of Education with a major in KOHSEI (Basic Art & Design). He worked as a graphic designer, then became an assistant professor of the Kyoto University of Education, assistant professor of the Tokyo University of Education, and professor of Tsukuba University. Currently, he is a professor of Bunkyo University, and serves as the president of the Basic Art and Design Society, and an honorary member and a steering committee member of the Japan Society for the Science of Design. He also serves as a temporary lecturer at the graduate school of the Women's University of Arts, an honorary professor at the Guangzhou University of Arts (China), an honorary professor of the Shantdong University of Art and Design (China), and a visiting professor of the Tienchin University of Arts (China).
