(1) Ideas for using color paints

When a person who is usually using poster colors uses other paints such as color inks once in a while, he will feel a fresh feeling. However, even if we do not change paints, there are various ways of using them. Our understandings of these materials will increase by generating ideas of using them.

(i) Blurring

The methods of drawing on a wet piece of paper were described in the figures prior to the previous page. New shapes are generated by adjusting the amount of moisture (Figs. 584-587).

(ii) Blowing

Before they dry, let's blow water paints which are abundantly placed on a piece of paper with a brush. The poster colors which were thinned in water scatters in a form of many thin lines like a thread, and form sectors. We feel an impression that the usual and ordinary lines are transforming their shapes as if they were living creatures (Figs. 588, 589).

Other two works started from configurations of points. Poster colors were used in Figure 590, and the center of drops of color inks were blown from a straw in Figure 591. The different shapes were created using different paints and techniques.
