Illusions of four dimensions (B) 6 Rhythm
1 -- Repetition There is an expression of rhythm as one of the methods of modeling which expresses a sense of movement. The true nature of rhythm is repetition. When similar elements appear repeatedly, a feeling like a heart beat is generated, and the surface becomes more vivid. A kind of feeling of order is created when rhythm is given to work which has a disconnected and loose feeling. Then, a feeling of life grows up from a sense of order and movement. On the other hand, if we reorganize a stiff-looking work with too much order in a rhythmical way, the structure is organized with a vivid feeling of life. Rhythm is generated in music by periodically varying
the strength and height of sounds. In a poem, rhythm is generated by using
words repeatedly or internal rules for word sounds.
