1--Various impossible diagrams
(1) The use of reversal perspective illusion There are several arts which directly utilize the
phenomenon that an apex of a box shape looks like it is coming out or dented.
In this case, the drawing methods of the oblique projection or the equal
angle projection are used. Here, parallel lines are described as parallel
lines.
Coexistence of two kinds of space recognition. Figure 364 shows a shape which consists of two desks
(one is reversed). However, it is difficult to recognize that each desk
exists with the same spatial recognition. A space is stuck from the bottom
right to the upper left in the right desk, and another space is stuck from
the upper left to the bottom right in the left desk. The directions are
exactly opposite. One is a view from a diagonally upper position, and the
other is a view seen from a diagonally lower position. It looks to be a
strange reverse diagram because the parallelogram in the middle is the
common part of both shapes.
